A new oil spill response boat for Eastern Uusimaa in Loviisa

The Kewatec SC W14 AC oil spill response boat is an E-class vessel designed to serve as an oil spill response support and connectivity boat. The boat's deck can carry oil spill containment booms and other necessary equipment for oil spill response. It is also suitable for rescue, emergency medical services, and cooperation tasks with authorities.

The boat is equipped with two Volvo Penta D4, 270 kW diesel engines connected to Volvo Penta DPI stern drives. The engines and drives represent state-of-the-art technology in their field and comply with all current environmental requirements. The boat is equipped with features such as a hydraulic bow ramp, a spacious aft deck that serves as a rescue platform, a fire pump, a crane, and a towing hook. The keel and keel rollers are dimensioned to allow the boat to land on natural shores.
